Timelessness

Timelessness~ I have been thinking about this for some time now.

Some images just capture your attention and take you back in time yet at the same time~ they can be very contemporary.

Why is that?

And what is it about some more than others that make you go “Oooh”! ?

So I went through some of my images and picked out a few that could fit the bill.

Timeless little lady

This seems pretty timeless to me.  But why?  Hum.  Is it the clothes?  perhaps, but if you look closely…. she has crocs on,

but the dress works.

The parasol umbrella definitely packs a punch of old’en day attire.  How about the backlight?

And the dreamy feeling of the camera flare  and fog?

This could have been taken years ago….. only 2 people know for sure.  Me and the timeless little Lady.

Another example:

The Stow away

Wow! He is darling isn’t he?  Well this is another example of timelessness.  Is it the hat? coat? or is it the train?

Perhaps it’s the pose?

Just maybe it is the bokeh in the background that gives it an timeless feel.   Or maybe it is the muted colors.

I think it is all of the above.  (except for the air conditioner.  It gives a clue that its kind of new).

Look at one more with me please.

The lip biter

I do think the outfit and the peeling paint work it here.  I did not alter the color, I think the setting was timeless in itself.

Yet the hat pushes it over the top.  Not to mention the biting of the lip!  (He does this kind of stuff   to try and get my goat).

He is too much! ……. Yet, it works well.  The true personality is revealed.  This is what I love about capturing that moment in time.

The truth always comes out.  And if you wait and watch you will catch something very special.

I photograph Vohn quite frequently…  for at least 3 reasons.

1.   He is a dream to work with.  (after lots and lots of training)!  I think it has paid off for me a hundred fold.  lol!

2.  I can try things out on the fam first to work out any technical details.

3. He is so stinkin cute.  I can not help it when he is around.

I have to grab my cam in one hand, and him in the other and click 150 shots an hour………. before he grows another inch.

I do wish time would stand still for a little while, so I can soak up these moments in time.

One of the most important things I have learned is~ take photos of your children, even if you do not get them professionally done.

Snap all that you can.  Because before you know it…. she/he is walking out your front door.

And trust me, just look at the pics you have already from one or 2 yrs ago.  Wow…. look how little she/he was.

Time sure flew didn’t it?    It has been wonderful spending TIME with you.    Thanks for visiting my blog ;)
