Photography Workshop for beginners

The beginner photo workshop has one seat open due to a cancelation.

If  you would like to be placed on an email for future workshops  with Linda Please send an email with your request.

Thank you.

Hello! This is Rachel and I will be assisting Linda along with Colleen for the workshop.

There are still a few (very few!) seats left for Linda’s workshop!  This basic workshop will be casual and flexible, focusing mainly on developing your creative eye and basic camera functions.  Also addressed will be topics such as basic composition and the use of light.

The dates are August 3rd and 5th from 5:30 – 8:30 in Saxonburg.  There will be two days in hopes that all who attend will be able to practice on their own and come back with stories and questions.

Whether you are using a DSLR or a point-and-shoot, the goal is to inspire creativity and address the basics so you can take better pictures!

If you love Linda’s work, phographing children may delight you as well.  You’re in luck!  A pretty little girl named Ella has agreed to be a model for the workshop.
Ella has loads of experience being a model.

Please contact Linda at ( lindamjackman@gmail.com ) to ensure that you get a spot.  If this beginner workshop fills up this time around, don’t worry – it won’t be the last!  Linda plans to host more in the future, including more advanced and indepth ones.  Hope to see you there!

For those that have already reserved a seat.  Please contact Linda  to give your email, phone number where you can be reached, and to make your payment ect.
More info on costs ect. below.

Creativity boot camp

Day 4

The word for the day is heavy metal.

bubble gum ring

Tomorrow is my hubby and my anniversary.  As I was looking for an idea for today’s assignment, I thought about my ring: it metal, and

I have this old metal bubble gum machine.  It reminded me that the first ring he ever gave me was from a gum machine.  (we were kids).  He still is. *wink*

I am so enjoying this creative boot camp.  I love forcing myself to look beyond the obvious.

Day 3

The word for the day is Multilayered

Layer

Todays word made me think of how we are like onions.

Layers many of them ~ how complex we are as  humans.  We are made up of many layers, some good and some .. not so good.

If and when we come to a  point in our lives that we need to peel the smelly layers off, one by one … the revealing of who we are, and what we were

created to be.

Peeling the layers off to get to the core;  is not painless, can cut to the heart,  make us shed tears and turn away .

Often times, without our calloused layers we feel unprotected.

But the truth is, when we peel away the unwanted layers , we shall find a tender heart,  more like flesh and not of stone.

Day 2

Today’s word is Picnic.

The first think I thought of was red and white check….. so did I have any print like that?  Yep, I had forgotten about it.

Thinking about picnic, the image I had in my mind was a dreamy one with a little girl enjoying the company of her childhood friends.

Picnic Emma’s poor little legs looked like mine as a kid, all bruised and bit up from playing in the creek.

Day 1

I started a creativity boot camp at Madeline Bea’s blog.  You can check out her blog using the button at the bottom of the page.

Today’s word is Ivory.  This is what I came up with.

Day 1 "Ivory"

I chose the bird house for more than just an Ivory object.  It is Sunday and I have been pondering

how….. the Lord is my shelter.

Thanks Madeline Bea for hosting this creative workshop. I think I will keep the writing part to myself for now.

You can find me on Facebook too.

Bellies, Buttons and Bokeh

Ahhh, another Maternity Mama!   The more of these session I do the more I love them…

The gift of life~ how precious~ how priceless!

This Mom 2B is such a gentle sweetheart.  She is not so fond of being in front of the camera

Yet… she did it, because she understands how these kinds of memories need to be

preserved to be passed onto the next generation.

Bokeh Belly

I love how her belly is framed against the bokeh from the flowering cherry tree.

Baby Christian

Here is a few of baby Christian I took last week.   Almost 6weeks old already.  I you remember I left off with His amazing parents going of to the hospital.

On our way

Well they made it to the hospital on time.  And had a beautiful baby boy, they named him … “Christian”

*sigh*Is there anything sweeter?

How darling

*shhhhh*

Christian thinkingI wonder what he is thinking…  Perhaps he is thinking “how can I make myself stay awake

for this entire session”……  I am betting that is exactly what he was thinking.

Honestly, I think he was so interested in

what was going on,  he hardly blinked let alone take a nap the entire time.

Maybe I got one of him blinking.

Christian1Look at those peepers.

Thanks for checking out my blog.  And thanks Christian for the visit and for bringing Mom with you.

Hangin' out

Matilda Jane dress up party

What a great time we had last night at MJC party.  MJC was having a contest, the rules are the photo has to be in front of the rack of clothes.

I did manage to get a few other shots.. how could I resist?  They all looked so adorable.  Oh how I wish they could stay little for a while longer.

What a sweet heart.  I love the bracelet she wore.

Her eyes are amazing!

gotta love that dimple.

ChloeI think she is a natural.  She was so happy to have other little girls to play with.

Little Ava…  how adorable is she?  Timeless outfit.

wm_IMG_2407I think she has a case full of accessories.   What  a doll baby!

Fifi waiting

Love the pig tails and the gorgeous eyes.., she was so  cooperative especially  for being so young ….

KassieI think she has the beautiful girl next door look.  She made me giggle as she proceeded to pose.. ” how is this? the rain has just stopped”.

Her skin and eyes are amazing!!

BlairWhat a  sweetie, I think she liked the clothes.

Blair

MckennaI absolutley love this one.  She did not want anything to do with the camera,

But isn’t this just the most darling pout  you have ever seen?

Thanks for stopping by and visiting my blog.  I do hope you enjoyed it.
